Your personal information is taken in the initial instance to make an appointment and register your contact details. In the initial consultation information will be requested regarding your current, general and historic health in order for us to provide you with the best treatment possible. You are under no obligation to provide any information if you do not wish.
Under the Osteopathic Practice Standard D6 we are obliged to keep patient records for a minimum of 8 years and if you are a child until your 25th Birthday. You are also entitled to see the data held about you and once the legal minimum time has elapsed you can request all data to be erased.
As Osteopathic Practitioners we are legally bound to respect our patients’ rights to privacy and we must comply with the law on data protection.
All Information stored must be with our patients’ consent and will be used solely for the purpose of Treatment, provision of medically relevant material and for making appointments. No Information is shared with third parties and will not be used for direct marketing.
Your information will be stored electronically and protected by multiple passwords.
